I've heard the wise advice to leave a child in the crib until they climb out or you have to have it for the next baby. I was beginning to think we would be moving Anthony's crib to college with him. He had never attempted to get out. He's nearly three years old! A few weeks ago we started having some problems with Aiden climbing into the crib with Anthony, but we never had a problem with Anthony climbing out. I was relieved. Aiden was in need of a toddler bed before he was two, although I didn't break down and actually move him until he turned two.

Then, last week, all four of us were napping at the same time. It's a rare phenomenon around here. Suddenly I heard voices and realized the boys were awake from nap. I got up and went to get Anthony out of his crib only to have him run to me from the living room. I was shocked!

I asked, "Anthony, did you climb out of your bed?"

"No, I falled!"

He was so serious when he said it. It was too cute and very hard not to laugh at his pain. Sure enough there was a huge red mark on his forehead. So, this is a picture of Anthony's last night in his baby bed.


Today, he helped me assemble his big boy bed. Do you think he likes it?



I think he loves it! Look at that mischevious grin! Do you think we'll ever get any sleep???


Luckily, my little one still loves his sleep, just like his Mommy!

Anthony's favorite is his camera. I don't have a picture of that though, because evidently the camera has changed a bit since Aiden got his last year for his birthday. Instead of taking the AA batteries that Santa bought for it, it required AAA batteries. Poor Anthony didn't get to play with his main gift on Christmas day.

My favorite gift. My sweet husband handmade this placard for our business. I am the CFO (chief financial officer) and co-founder of Bailey, Inc. I am the CEO for AJ2, the subsidiary company of Bailey, Inc. He used my "clients" to give it a "hands-on" feel. I love it. There's more to it, but I have to finish assembling it. I'll take another picture when it is hung.


Stockings! Both boys picked up their really cool Mickey Mouse underwear that Santa was really excited about, looked at it, threw it aside and continued to look for something fun! Ha!

Anthony was so excited because he thought Daddy got a box of wipes!

We all got really neat shirts from Mimi and Papa! They have Cracker Landing on them. That is the name of the house on Little Gasparilla Island, our favorite place in the world. I love the shirts!

Christmas Eve

Today was a wonderful day! Patrick did some last minute shopping. Then, I did some last minute shopping. :)

Max found a new place to sleep, the drawer with the dish towels in it.



We had a good time of worship at Maple Avenue Christian Church. The boys loved seeing Mrs. Lauren and Mr. Tom. We got there a little late though, so we had to sit in the overflow section! It was packed! Then, we came home and ate our traditional Christmas Eve meal of Kentucky Fried Chicken in honor of my precious Japanese friends. It was yummy!

We took pictures in front of our Christmas tree. (The boys were not impressed with this idea.)





We made oatmeal raisin cookies for Santa Claus. Daddy and Aiden talked about it earlier in the week and decided that was the kind of cookies Santa Claus would like. Mommy really thought Santa Claus would like some chocolate chip cookies too. So, we made both.





And we opened our first present! New Jammies!!!



Now the boys are safely tucked away in bed. I wonder when Santa will be here???

Christmas Traditions

We have several wonderful traditions in our family for Christmas. One of my favorites is buying our Christmas ornaments. We choose ornaments for the boys and one for our whole family.

This year we finally bought ornaments for each of our babies in heaven.

I did great picking these out and telling them what to write on them, until the man stopped and said, "I've never seen Airen spelled like that." My immediate thought was, "I've never seen her either." We finished and I cried a little, but am so happy we finally were able to do this for our babies.

We looked high and low for the perfect ornament for our little boys. For some reason, these mischievous little rascals jumped out at us. I just love them!

We definitely feel like we're living in an igloo!!! It's been cold here! We're excited because today it got up into the 20's!

Hairdresser to Aiden: "I'm just going to blend this a little bit."

Aiden to Hairdresser: (looking very confused) "No, I don't have a blender in my hair, it's just red."

Entire hair salon: Laughter until it brought tears!

A Disney Christmas?

Me: (singing) "Jingle Bells, Jingles Bells, Jingle all the way! Oh what fun it is to ride . . ." (You get the idea!)

Aiden: (very distressed!) "NO MAMA!!! It's Tinkerbells!"
