I read this on a friend's blog tonight and it really struck me. I've been pondering it for a few hours now. I just wanted to share.
“Sometimes I would like to ask God why He allows poverty, famine and injustice in the world when He could do something about it… but I’m afraid He might ask me the same question.” -Anonymous

A similar comment was made by our Bible Study teacher (he is also the pastor) on Sunday morning. Forgive me because all the exact numbers I do not remember but I remember to basics. He referenced the # of kids under 5 who die each yr from drinking dirty water. Statistics say that $10 billion dollars a year could provide clean water to these kids. Seems costly, but Americans spend $528 billion a year at Christmas. Is G-d going to ask us why we never gave to save their lives? It would not take that much if we all gave a little. Puzzling and troubling thought. There are so many opportunities to show G-d's love that we miss everyday. Will we be judged for not noticing?
