Abby is eight months old today! She weighs 15 pounds. She loves to eat squash and corn, chicken noodle soup, and peach puffs. She is still rocking on all fours, but hasn't really crawled yet. She sure can get around quickly though! Her favorite thing to do right now is find stray paper and chew on it, no matter how hard we try to keep her from it! She is definitely developing a personality. She loves to hug, kiss, and zerbert her Mommy. I love how she squeezes my neck when I pick her up! She loves her Daddy and her big brothers! She likes going to Sunday School and loves her teacher Mrs. Linda. She has really enjoyed spending time with her Mimi and Papa lately, although Mommy has to watch Papa or he'll feed her chocolate! She has the cutest belly laugh.
This dress belonged to me when I was baby.

The Many Faces of Abby!
I have constant comments on Abby's facial expression, namely that she is Always smiling! Well, for your viewing pleasure I decided to take several pictures and show you Abby can do something besides smile!!!
Here, we'll start with this one . . . . well, okay, a smile to begin. Good book maybe?
But this one, it's, um, well, it's Sleepy! Yeah, sleepy!
Here we go, this one is Sideways! Sideways Smile, but, well . . .
Oh, here's another one! This is Not a picture of her smiling, it's a picture of her first tooth, see it???
Oh WAIT! I Got it! It's Serious Abby!
Maybe it's the shirt? Georgia Tech makes her Daddy smile!

My Little Girl
Last year, in November, we finally had an ultrasound that proved Abby was Abby and not Andon (our boy name, it's Japanese, and means light, but I digress). Patrick and I immediately went shopping. And I froze. My entire life I had been waiting to buy a dress and I couldn't do it! I couldn't find anything I liked. When I finally did choose something it took me forever. I went back and forth and back and forth over what size to get. I finally purchase one and in my mind, this 3-6 month outfit would probably be worn in late February. Well, it's September now and my beautiful girl finally fit into the first thing her Mommy ever bought her.
I just love this little girl!!!

Homework?
The Redhead is loving Kindergarten! He is doing so well, we are very proud of him. Each week we are given sight words to help Aiden learn how to recognize, spell, read, and memorize. We are given a sheet with creative ways to help him remember his words. He was writing his sight words in flour for his homework assignment. He loved it!
I'm learning right along with Aiden. For example, this week I learned that you should put the flour into a pan, not straight onto the table, if you want the flour to stay off of you, your child, and the dining room floor!

Moved in!
We are all moved in our new home, thanks to the incredible help of our friends and our church family at Lynwood Baptist Church in Oswego! It rained, it poured, but we got it all! We have lots of boxes to unpack, but it's so nice to have so much space!!! Thank you to everyone that helped!!!

Our Sweet New Ride!
Mimi and Papa decided the boys needed a sweet new ride to go with their sweet new home! The boys were so surprised when the first saw it they were speechless!
Anthony can't quite reach the pedal yet, but he's working on it. In the meantime, he loves to play with the working radio.
Aiden seems to have a preference for the Reverse gear, which is rather scary sometimes! We are learning the "rules of the road" and having a ball! Thanks so much Mimi and Papa!!!!

Our New Home
We got the keys to our new home today!!!
We surprised the boys with a pizza picnic for lunch!
We will start cleaning and moving a few things, but the big move is on the 18th, this Saturday. We are looking forward to having so much more space! It's amazing to move from a two bedroom, one bath apartment to a four bedroom, one and a half bath town home!!! We have been praying for the perfect place for over nine months. It is amazing how God answered these prayers for this home and exceeded our expectations! God is so good! I love how He cares for us!

Peek a Boo
I love how much my boys love their sister. They are gentle with her and incredibly helpful. She had rolled all the way under Anthony's bed on morning while we were getting ready for school. Aiden said, "I don't want her to be lonely!" He jumped up from where he was and crawled under the bed with her. They talked and talked to each other. Melts my heart that they love each other so much!

Tennis Shoes
Hey! This is Abby. See my styling tennis shoes??? My Mom, she has this thing for shoes, especially baby girl shoes, that are on clearance. She admits it now, which is a huge step. I can't even crawl yet, much less walk, but she loves putting shoes on me. She only does it when we're going "out" because she doesn't want my feet to get "cold" or if we're taking a picture. At least that's the excuse she uses. Oh well, i kind of like shoes myself, they are quite tasty when you get them up to your mouth! Oh, and my Mama made that belt with her headband for me, cute huh?

The month of August
August began with an enormous amount of doctors appointments! Anthony was cleared by the cardiologist! Abby was cleared by the NICU follow up team! Aiden had an eye check and was moved from patching to drops in his eye. Abby had her first eye appointment and did well. Anthony was cleared by the ENT for his hearing and his tubes are still in place! YAY!
Aiden lost his first tooth, Woody! However, Aiden wants to wait until all of Woody's friends can join him before giving him to the tooth fairy. So far, Buzz, has joined Woody!
We had our first annual Cousin Camp 2010! I'm going to give this it's own post! Amazing fun!!!
We celebrated Happy Heaven Day for our sweet son Dash Liam. 2 years.
Just because she's adorable!
We began a new tradition that I think we are all going to love! We went on a camping trip to signify the end of summer and the beginning of the school year. We had a great weekend together! It was Abby's first camping trip. The boys had a ball!
Abby on her first swing!
Aiden had his last day of preschool with Mrs. Amy!
At Kindergarten orientation we met Aiden's new teacher, saw his room, met some new friends, and toured the school.
Anthony had his first day of Preschool all by himself. He's been going to this preschool for over a year now, but Aiden has always been with him. He's doing well, but Aiden didn't have school the first day, so he was a little sad dropping Anthony off.
We gave out over 250 packages of gum on the Waubonsee Community College campus the first day of the semester! It was a good day. For reasons, beyond our control, we haven't been allowed to give out anymore gum. Please pray for God's direction for our ministry.
Aiden started Kindergarten. I didn't cry in front of him. Anthony had a really, really hard time leaving Aiden at school. Aiden loves it and is having a great time!
I got and gave a kissing hand!
Aiden went to his line. He turned around to look at me and signed I Love You, then he put his hand on his cheek, just like in the book "The Kissing Hand." Then, he faced front and never looked back! Off on an adventure!!!
He had a great day!
We celebrated Colin's fourth Happy Heaven Day.
My doll used to wear this night gown. Now my Princess wears it!
Happy 25th Birthday to our oldest "daughter" Denise! She loves rock climbing, so I made her a rock climbing cake.
Abby is seven months old! She weighs 14 pounds and is in mostly 3-6 month clothing, although most of her 0-3 month stuff will still fit. In length though, she needs a 6-9 for footed things. She is starting to attempt crawling and can scoot herself backwards. She is very interested in our cat, Max. She is becoming an avid eater. She loves peaches, cereal, and applesauce! She refuses to drink from a sippy cup, but loves a regular cup and is quite good at it as long as someone else is holding it.
Our biggest news from August is we signed a lease on a new house! We are so excited. We currently live in a very small two bedroom, one bath apartment. It is very similar to our seminary apartment we lived in without children, much less three quickly growing children! We found a nice town home with tons of space on our same street! We move in on the 15th of September, with a big moving party on that Saturday the 18th! More to come of the new house later!
